Cake FAQs, Returns & Classes
Cake FAQs
What size cake should I order?
Please see the below guidance for an idea of how many people our cakes serve:
7 inch cake – gives 7 generous portions or 14 finger portions
9 inch cake – gives 16 generous portions or 40 finger portions
10 inch cake – gives 24 generous portions or 50 finger portions
11 inch cake – gives 35 generous portions or 60 finger portions
12 inch cake – gives 50 generous portions or 75–80 finger portions
How shall I store the cake?
Our cakes are made with fresh cream, and often fresh fruit. Please ensure it is kept in the fridge at all times, even in winter and especially on warm days. If you are transporting your cake by car on a warm day, ensure it is placed flat on a secure surface with the air conditioning on.
How should I serve the cake?
Take the cake out of the fridge approximately one hour before serving for maximum flavour and texture.
How long does a cake last?
Our cakes are made with fresh cream, so we recommend they are eaten within 3–4 days when stored in the fridge.
Do you require payment in advance for cakes?
Yes. All our cakes are made to order and full payment is required at the time of ordering to confirm your booking and production slot. Orders are only considered confirmed once payment has been received.
Wedding & Bespoke Cakes
Wedding and bespoke cakes require additional planning, ingredient sourcing, recipe preparation, and production scheduling.
For wedding and bespoke cakes, full payment is required in advance to confirm the order and secure the event date.
We do not offer pay-on-delivery or leave balances outstanding until the wedding or event day.
Tastings are arranged after an order has been confirmed and are used to finalise flavour direction, not as a trial before commitment.
I have an allergy – how do I find out what each product contains?
Each of our products lists which allergens are present alongside a full ingredients list on our website. At our bakery, you can ask any of our team members.
Please note that although we offer some vegan and wheat-free cakes, our products are prepared in an environment where they may come into contact with WHEAT, EGGS, PEANUTS, OTHER NUTS, and MILK. We cannot guarantee that our bakery is completely free from these allergens.
For further information, please email hello@prestigepatisserie.com before ordering.
Charges & Cancellations
What should I do if I haven’t received my confirmation email?
You should receive your confirmation email within one hour of placing your order. Please check your junk or spam folder. If you have not received anything, please email hello@prestigepatisserie.com so we can investigate.
What is your refunds policy?
Due to the handcrafted and made-to-order nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for custom orders.
Once you or a designated party has picked up an order, it is considered accepted. We will always ask you to check that everything is correct, including design details and spelling. Taste and design are subjective, and if the cake fulfils the brief requested and meets our quality standards, refunds will not be offered.
Design adjustments requested after acceptance may incur additional charges. Refunds requested due to decorating style, writing, colour shade, or general design will not be honoured after acceptance.
Wedding and bespoke cakes are excluded from standard refunds due to their custom nature and advance preparation.
All products become the responsibility of the customer once they leave our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring during transport, setup, or thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon collection.
Cake flavour and texture are subjective. Full refunds requested due to flavour or texture after the cake has been accepted will not be honoured. In some cases, a partial store credit may be offered if the cake is returned within 24 hours and is determined not to meet our quality standards. This decision is solely at the discretion of Prestige Patisserie.
No store credit or refund will be issued if we are not contacted within 48 hours of collection.

If cancelled at least 96 hours in advance, any payment made may be transferred to another order within 3 months from the original date. No cash refunds will be issued.
For wedding and bespoke cakes, once planning, recipe development, or production scheduling has begun, payments are non-refundable.
